PGSM Cosplay Accessories collection

Description

With the Sailor Moon comeback this 2012 in the Philippines I thought I'd finally post the PGSM cosplay accessories set I made for our PGSM cosplay in 2006~ They are not much knowing how far I have improved on my skills on making accessories since I made these. It is nice to look back once in a while and see my beginnings. :)

TIARA
Each tiara is custom-fitted to the wearer as you can notice not all of them are of the same size and "curve". These are made of thin metal sheet, polished out, and painted with gold. Back then I use enamel paint that took days (and I mean days! to dry). Sailor Moon's moon embellishment designs are made of cut-out stickers and then repainted gold.

Making these tiaras are by far the most difficult and painstaking accessories I ever made (until present 2009) and still! I couldn't have done it without my dad's help with cutting the metal sheets.

I know I won't be making any more tiaras like these (because of material sources), but I will try to make more good Sailor Moon accessories in the future~

EARRINGS AND MOON CHOKER
Made of beads, bells, rhinestones, and random materials painted with gold (using nail polish )

VENUS BOW and LOVE ME CHAIN BELT
The bow ribbon was made by Aunt Maya, while the heart brooch at the center was made by me using papermache technique. The dangling jewels/beads were a guess because there was not enough reference on Sailor Venus' hair bow back then.

Venus' Love Me Chain is made of gold-painted cardboard with red oval shaped rhinestones (the only available stones we found at that time) but I painted red around the edges to make the stones look circular.

JUPITER ROSE BELT
Jupiter's main belt is made of heart-shaped rose quartz stones (heavy!) and pink plastic flower inside a clear gashapon ball.

WRISTBANDS
I made these using styropor and papermache, shaped individually. Details were added using paper cut outs and hot glue stick.

BROOCH
I also made these using styropor balls and papermache. I added a gold ribbon with long beads for trims.
